Biomass
Etymologically speaking, biomass means all living matter. Since the first petrol scare in 1973, this concept applies to organic plant and animal products used for energy or agronomy purposes. On the whole, it means all organic matter of plant and animal origin as well as its transformation products (organic waste). The advantage of converting biomass energy, in comparison to other sources of renewable energy, is that in addition to producing energy, it actively contributes to the treatment of organic waste, hence curbing the impact of our activities on the environment.
